Photovoice and congregations

“Photovoice” is a research strategy/community intervention model. One of the faculty on my dissertation committee, M. Brinton Lykes, has done extensive work with this strategy in circumstances where people are recovering from horrific warfare trauma. Now it is also being used in congregational settings. Lego Psalm 139

I’m not a huge fan of simply didactically “illustrating” biblical verses — I’d much rather add layers of additional interpretation that open up, rather than close down meaning — but I thought this was a kind of cute illustration. It’s at least a fun way to use Legos!
